The Illinois Admissions Liaison Officer (ALO) program is an Air Force organization of military officers who provide the recruiting and admissions assistance for prospective candidates interested in attending the US Air Force Academy or entering the Air Force  Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program.  Illinois ALOs are typically Air Force Reserve officers who live in the community they serve.

The mission of an Illinois ALO is to identify those highly qualified and motivated young men and women who desire to pursue careers as officers in the United States Air Force. We strive to identify those individuals who will fulfill the goals and missions of the Air Force Academy and Air Force ROTC:

The Mission of the Air Force Academy

"To educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation."

The Mission of AFROTC

" To recruit, educate, and commission officer candidates through college campus programs based on Air Force requirements."

This site is for anyone interested in meeting the challenge of becoming an Air Force officer either by attending the Air Force Academy or Air Force ROTC. Please contact your school's assigned Illinois ALO for more detailed information concerning the opportunities awaiting qualified applicants. The application and selection process starts in the spring of your junior year of high school and continues through the fall of your senior year.

Illinois Liaison Officer Director (LOD):  LtCol Rich Jenkins
